Job Title: Web Development Manager

Location: Southport, Merseyside

The Company:  The company offers a range of custom software development services to businesses across the North West of England.  They offer website development, database development, Smartphone Application Development and more.

The Role:

Your responsibilities will include the development of new functionality and features to improve visitor experience, loyalty and search engine rankings for the Client base.

You will be customer facing and have the capability to create Design Specifications for our Development team to work against.

You will lead the development of new sites for Clients as the Company wins new business.

Experience:

The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of PHP4/5, MySQL, XHTML, JavaScript, Structural SEO with proven commercial experience in these areas.

High levels of attention to detail and a structured and methodical way of working are crucial to this role.

You will be required to meet demanding standards in coding, testing and W3C Guidelines (usability and accessibility).

Experience of the following would be advantageous: Linux, Apache, Perl, Photoshop/PSP, FTP, Flash, Fireworks, Microsoft Expression Web

You should demonstrate a structured and methodical way of working,  exhibit a high level of attention to detail and be numerate and articulate.

Previous experience in the development of community based sites is advantageous.
